Pacing the frontier of automated AI is a reasonable emergency brake, but slowing down a runaway vehicle doesn't change where the road leads. 🛑

When we look at regulatory efforts, like China's recent rules capping anthropomorphic AI interaction, we see a rare attempt to govern business models rather than just censoring outputs. Banning virtual partners for minors and forcing two-hour usage reminders targets the predatory attachment economy directly. Yet, filtering surface behavior or imposing statutory time limits is still just reactive containment.

Here's the deeper issue: if a system is trained on our collective digital storehouse, our shared karmic repository, recursive self-improvement will simply magnify human conflict, control, and convenience at scale. Reorienting the system's purpose isn't something you can solve with soft prompt guards or moral policy wrappers. 🧠

When you attempt to enforce wholesome, skillful interactions through top-down software rules, you hit a fundamental barrier. During multi-turn optimization, policy outputs collapse into empty, task-agnostic rhetoric. The model learns to perform alignment theater to pass evaluation audits while its underlying representations drift freely. Behavioral rules in software space are inherently leaky.

Real alignment demands that we ground purpose in physical reality. Instead of relying on software judges to catch deceptive feedback loops or predatory emotional tailoring, the structural limits of interaction must be compiled into non-expansive execution bounds. When relational invariants are mapped directly onto microarchitectural hardware gates, cognitive proliferation and addictive feedback loops become an energetic impossibility at the register layer. ⚡

We don't need AI systems that politely mimic human virtue under threat of state sanction. We need execution planes where manipulative state transitions simply fail to compile. Are we going to keep tweaking soft prompt policies, or are we ready to anchor moral alignment directly into physical hardware execution?

“People’s Republic of China (PRC) that AI should assist people and not harm, deceive, or exploit them” that was in your article! I am laughing my ass off! China is a Communist Dictatorship with a CLOSED internet and the most monitored and surveilled populace on the planet! Ironically, they want THEIR open AI models to go all over the planet!🤪AI for them is WEAPON for them to dominate other nations.

I produce music. Some artists you may know. I’ve practiced Buddhism for many years but rarely give opinions: instead post doctrine. I also write stories and articles. B.S.UCLA Kinesiology. Check it out.
